Type 5 Plastics

Type 5 plastic, also known as Polypropylene (PP), used in packaging materials and household products. It is a lightweight and durable material that can withstand high temperatures, making it a popular choice for food and beverage containers.

Like other plastics, PP takes a long time to break down, with an estimate ranging from 20 to 30 years in a landfill, possibly even more! When it is not disposed of properly like everything else it goes into our ecosystem and can harm wildlife and the environment.
